Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day!  Mine has been great!  First mommy and I went to the store to get a nice dessert for after dinner tonight.  Then daddy surprised us and came home early from work to take us out to lunch.  He also got mommy and I flowers, balloons, and a card.  He is such a good daddy!!
Today I sat up by myself for the first time!  I was playing on the floor and rolled onto my side (my model pose), then I lifted myself up :)
Tomorrow I go to the Dr. for some more shots :(  I hope they are easy peasy.  I am also curious how much I weigh now.

Army Crawl

Now that I have perfected my sitting up I figured I needed to try something else, so now I army crawl!  I don't think mommy and daddy were quite ready for me to move all over the house so quickly.  Today mommy is taking all of her nice things off of the bottoms of the end tables and coffee table so I don't hurt myself with them.
Last night I watched the Super Bowl with daddy and we had lots of fun playing with toys too.  I am talking more and more now but no real words yet just a lot of babbling :)  I also take my bib off by myself when I am done eating.  Sometimes it is sooner than mommy and daddy would like.

Sittin' Pretty

Hi everybody!  I went for my 6 month well visit today and everything looked really good!  I am now 16 lbs., 26.3 inches tall, and my head is 41.9 cm.  The Dr. says I am right on track.  I still battle with the eczema so the dr. said mommy could use some cortisone cream on the bad patches, but will hopefully all go away in a few months when the weather warms up.  Cant wait!  I did much better with the shot this time than I thought I was going to do :)
Right now I am eating solids twice a day (cereal in the AM, and peas for dinner).  The Dr. said I can have solids 3 times a day and to let me eat as much as I want! WOO HOO!  I did have squash mixed with cereal for the first time today for lunch, and it was really yummy.  Mommy is going to keep me on squash for a few days before trying the next veggie in case I am allergic to something.
I can now sit up like a big girl as long as mommy and daddy put me in that position.  I do catch myself sometimes if I am about to fall over and can bring myself back to a sitting position.  The Dr. said I will be able to put my self in a sitting position in the next 2-3 months. 

Other things I am doing at almost 6 1/2 months:
 - When laying on the floor I can get up on my knees and push myself forward to move around.
 - I am still rolling over like a champ!
 - I can prop myself up on my side, (mommy calls this my model pose :))
 - I love to look at jewelry and play with mommy's ring, necklace, and earrings
 - I am still screaming to hear my voice, and become really vocal when I am tired
 - Sitting up on my own
 - Walking backwards in my walker
 - Love to eat my cereal in the AM
 - Moving into #3 diapers
 - I wake up in the middle of the night now and cry for a bit, but then I roll myself over on my tummy and go back to bed until morning
 - Go to bed around 9pm and wake -up between 7 - 7:30am
 - Still sleeping with my swaddle but only from the chest down as I don't like my arms wrapped in anymore
 - Still watching Baby Einstein every morning and Your Baby Can Read 1-2 times a week
 - Love to laugh at my dog Abby!
 - I do not like to get dressed
 - Still love to take baths
 - Everything I get my hands on goes straight to my mouth
 - I can now move a toy from one hand to the other
 - And for the first time today I raised my arms when mommy picked me up

Yummy Peas??!!

Mommy and Daddy had me try peas for the first time yesterday and I liked them!  I had a strange look on my face at first like "what is this??" but I finished the whole jar!  I got really messy but enjoyed my new food.

Mommy has me practicing sitting up during the day and thanks to Miss Nikki the toy that she gave me really helps :)  Right now though I am working on my model pose.  It is the position in between rolling around and sitting up.  I am getting pretty good at it.  And yesterday I got up on my knees and scooted myself forward, mommy was very impressed.

2/1 is my 6 month well visit with the pediatrician where I will get some more shots :(  I am not looking forward to that part but I am curious how much I weigh.

Sitting up like a big girl

6 months old!!

Yesterday I turned 6 months old!  I had a very busy day, I went to Miss Jazmine's wedding and then when I got home my grandma and grandpa from NY came to visit me.  Mommy gave me a little bit of chocolate ice cream for my 1/2 birthday and it was YUMMY!  Very cold at first but I liked it :) 

At 6 months:

 - I am not sitting up yet by myself but mommy and daddy help me out and I do ok
 - I still like to do my baby crunches (flutter kicks) and now I even cross my feet when I do them
 - I am starting to prop myself up on my side when I play on the floor, so mommy and daddy think I will be sitting up by myself very soon.
 - No teeth yet
 - I like to roll a lot more when being changed

Walking backwards

For Christmas my Grandfather and mom-mom Burns got me a walker.  I really like it and I can now walk backwards!  These pics were taken on New Years Day.

Happy New Year!!!

Gosh it has been sooooo long since I posted!  I apologize but my computer was broke down for awhile but Mr. Tim fixed it and we did not lose any files!  Mommy said she would have been super upset if she lost any of my pics.
I am now 5 1/2 months and getting soooo BIG!  Mommy took me took the doctor last Wednesday because she saw some red patches on me and come to find out I have Eczema.  It is not too bad but mommy and daddy have to put lots of lotion on me twice a day.  It makes me feel much better :)  I weigh 15 lbs. 15 oz. and have gone up to 63% from 50% on the weight chart, oink, oink :)  I always laugh at mommy when she makes that noise.

At 5 1/2 months:
 - I am a pro at rolling over and can maneuver my body to get to something I want
 - I love to suck on my toes, especially when mommy and daddy are changing me
 - I still love to take baths
 - I am eating cereal in the morning along with my bottle and will start veggies at dinner time in a few weeks
 - I wear 3-6 months clothes and some 6-9 months
 - I love to play with my dog Abby and pull her hair if she gets close enough
 - I scream to hear my own voice and when I am mad I have another very distinct scream for that
 - I love watching baby Einstein each morning and we also just started watching Your Baby Can Read sometimes in the afternoon. ( I am not a huge fan of the afternoon video though)
 - I am sleeping in my big girl bed and doing very well
 - I love to laugh at Abby, and my mommy and daddy when they are silly
