Hibachi

Thursday was my daddy's birthday so we all went out to dinner at Hibachi.  It was really neat, the chef cooked right in front of us!  I am not sure about the big fire I saw (kind of scary), but the rest was neat.

7 months old!!!!

Finally I am able to update my blog!!  My computer has been acting up again and I am so happy I can finally get in.  I had a great time with my grandparents and cousins from NY!!  They even got to stay an extra day due to the weather up north.  Mommy says they should have stayed the whole week because now they are getting hit with snow again. 

At 7 months:

 - I have perfected my army crawl
 - I know get up on my hands and knees and rock back and forth but no real crawling yet
 - I think fruits are very tart to taste but I am getting used to them
 - I can pull myself up on mommy's laundry basket and stand holding it
 - I like to wake up in the middle of the night and fuss.  Mommy and daddy said they don't like it :)
 - I started making sounds with a "G"
 - I like to throw things on the floor and have mommy and daddy get them for me

Today Mr. George and Miss Corrine came to visit from Maryland with their kids Elena and Ian.  We had such a good time playing!  I got to show them my room and we watched Baby Einstein together.  Elena also gave me some pretty dresses and shoes that don't fit her anymore, she is so sweet.
Later today my Grandparents from NY and my 3 cousins will be here.  I can't wait to see them!!

Today I went for my last round of shots for awhile.  I had two shots, the first one was easy peasy and the second hurt a little.  I did cry but smiled just seconds later :)  I now weigh 17 lbs 7.5oz.!  I did have my clothes on this time but that is still a big jump.  Just two weeks ago I weighed 16lbs.
Mommy opened up a new toy for me to play with today and I am having lots of fun with it.  Saturday my mommy's friend from Maryland is going to come visit with her family and later that day my Grandma and Grandpa and 3 cousins from NY are going to stay with us for a few days.  I can't wait!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I hope you all have a Happy Valentine's Day!  Mine has been great!  First mommy and I went to the store to get a nice dessert for after dinner tonight.  Then daddy surprised us and came home early from work to take us out to lunch.  He also got mommy and I flowers, balloons, and a card.  He is such a good daddy!!
Today I sat up by myself for the first time!  I was playing on the floor and rolled onto my side (my model pose), then I lifted myself up :)
Tomorrow I go to the Dr. for some more shots :(  I hope they are easy peasy.  I am also curious how much I weigh now.

Army Crawl

Now that I have perfected my sitting up I figured I needed to try something else, so now I army crawl!  I don't think mommy and daddy were quite ready for me to move all over the house so quickly.  Today mommy is taking all of her nice things off of the bottoms of the end tables and coffee table so I don't hurt myself with them.
Last night I watched the Super Bowl with daddy and we had lots of fun playing with toys too.  I am talking more and more now but no real words yet just a lot of babbling :)  I also take my bib off by myself when I am done eating.  Sometimes it is sooner than mommy and daddy would like.

Sittin' Pretty

Hi everybody!  I went for my 6 month well visit today and everything looked really good!  I am now 16 lbs., 26.3 inches tall, and my head is 41.9 cm.  The Dr. says I am right on track.  I still battle with the eczema so the dr. said mommy could use some cortisone cream on the bad patches, but will hopefully all go away in a few months when the weather warms up.  Cant wait!  I did much better with the shot this time than I thought I was going to do :)
Right now I am eating solids twice a day (cereal in the AM, and peas for dinner).  The Dr. said I can have solids 3 times a day and to let me eat as much as I want! WOO HOO!  I did have squash mixed with cereal for the first time today for lunch, and it was really yummy.  Mommy is going to keep me on squash for a few days before trying the next veggie in case I am allergic to something.
I can now sit up like a big girl as long as mommy and daddy put me in that position.  I do catch myself sometimes if I am about to fall over and can bring myself back to a sitting position.  The Dr. said I will be able to put my self in a sitting position in the next 2-3 months. 

Other things I am doing at almost 6 1/2 months:
 - When laying on the floor I can get up on my knees and push myself forward to move around.
 - I am still rolling over like a champ!
 - I can prop myself up on my side, (mommy calls this my model pose :))
 - I love to look at jewelry and play with mommy's ring, necklace, and earrings
 - I am still screaming to hear my voice, and become really vocal when I am tired
 - Sitting up on my own
 - Walking backwards in my walker
 - Love to eat my cereal in the AM
 - Moving into #3 diapers
 - I wake up in the middle of the night now and cry for a bit, but then I roll myself over on my tummy and go back to bed until morning
 - Go to bed around 9pm and wake -up between 7 - 7:30am
 - Still sleeping with my swaddle but only from the chest down as I don't like my arms wrapped in anymore
 - Still watching Baby Einstein every morning and Your Baby Can Read 1-2 times a week
 - Love to laugh at my dog Abby!
 - I do not like to get dressed
 - Still love to take baths
 - Everything I get my hands on goes straight to my mouth
 - I can now move a toy from one hand to the other
 - And for the first time today I raised my arms when mommy picked me up
