14 Months Old!

Today I am 14 months old!  I am growing up so quickly, and mommy and daddy say it is too quick :)  Here are some things I am doing at 14 months:

 - Drinking from a straw
 - Running around the house
 - Copying everything mommy and daddy do and say
 - Taking just one nap a day now and going to sleep on my own
 - Putting on mommy's heels and trying to walk in them
 - Putting my pointer finger up to my lips and make the "shhh" sound
 - I love to play peek a boo!  I cover my face with my hands then take them off and say "there she is!"
 - I dance now anytime I hear good music :)
 - I absolutely love the song Itsy Bitsy Spider and ask mommy to sing it 20x a day
 - I can say "I love you" very well along with MANY other words!
 - I play with the pots and pans and like to take the tops to play the cymbals
 - I now have 6 teeth!  3 on bottom and 3 on top
 - Love to go outside and play
 - Still very much like my baths
 - I can sign -  please, thank you, bath, and doll.  I can also say those words too :)
 - Still not a fan of carrots or bananas :(
 - Also not a huge fan of my bike helmet but hopefully I will get used to it
 - I pretend many of my toys are cell phones and "talk" on them.

BIG Girl!!

Hi everybody!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day!  I am getting to be such a big girl that I need to update everyone on all of the changes :)  Over Labor Day weekend I spent the night with mom-mom and grandfather.  I was a good girl for them and mommy did just ok without me :)  She had all of her girlfriends here from NY so they were able to keep her busy so she wouldn't get sad.  I had another tooth come in on the top and to the right, and I also have two more top ones making their way in as well.  Just last week we switched my schedule to one nap a day in the afternoon around 1:30pm, and three days ago mommy started to put me in my crib to fall asleep on my own without rocking me.  I still get tired some mornings but mommy keeps me busy, so I am doing fairly well at this.
Next week I turn 14 months old, I can't believe it!

Seneca Lake, NY

On Saturday, August 20th mommy, daddy, and me went to Seneca Lake, NY to vacation with all of mommy's family.  We stayed in a cottage on the lake and had a great time!!  I went swimming in the lake, skipped rocks, played with my cousins, and fed the ducks!  While we were having a great time vacationing daddy told me some major things were happening back home; we had earthquake tremors on Monday and hurricane Irene hit Delaware pretty hard on Saturday.  Fortunately nothing hit our house but we did find 3 small trees down in our front yard.
I also turned 13 months old while up in New York!  I got to try my first marshmallow, it has a funny taste :) 
At 13 months old:
 - I am running around like crazy
 - I talk, talk, talk!  I have added to my vocabulary TONS of words like, duck, turtle, bear, doggy, and I say "there she is" when I play peek a boo and "thank you" very well.
 - I can make the doggy and bear sounds
 - I can point to my nose, ears, and mouth
 - I can sign please and thank you
 - I don't like strawberries, bananas, french toast, or pancakes :(
 - I love eggs especially with cheese on them :)

Family Fun Day & Visit with Edmonds' Family

Hi everybody!  Yesterday was family fun day at our church and we had lots of fun!  I got to see a cow, run around, and play with lots of other kids :)  Today mommy and daddy took me to visit with Elena and Ian.  They got me a birthday present then afterwards we played for a bit and all went out for lunch.  It was a super fun time and I can't wait to play with them again!

Salisbury, MD Zoo

Hi! Today mommy took me to the Salisbury zoo with lots of other moms and kids too!  We had a good time walking around.  I got to see a bear, bald eagle, alligators, flamingo's, and more.  It was super hot and I was all sweaty but we sat in a nice shaded area for lunch then I got to run around afterwards.
