Dedication

Hi!  We had a very fun filled weekend!  I had a great time with my family from New York over the weekend.  It was my Aunt Nikki's birthday on Sunday the 17th so we all went out to dinner at Big Fish Saturday night.  Sunday was my dedication and I think my mommy and daddy did a pretty good job :)  Afterwards we all went to Olive Garden for lunch and Aunt Mim surprised us all with a nice big cake!  It was sooo yummy, THANK YOU aunt Mim!!

Maaaa!??

I think I finally said "Ma" the other night!  I was desperately wanting my bottle and be put to bed so I called for my mommy to make that happen.  She was so excited that I finally said it.  Other than that I say "da da" ALL the time and sometimes I even say "da-eee".  it is super cute and my daddy loves it when I say it.  I also say "ba ba" sometimes and today when I said it my mommy gave me a bottle and I was super happy :)
I have also learned to give kisses but will only do them when I want to! 
My grandparents from NY are coming down tonight to stay with us for the weekend and this Sunday I am getting dedicated at our church.  My uncle Ty and aunt Carol are also coming down from Michigan for the dedication and I will see them on Sunday.

North Carolina and the ZOO!

We just got back today from NC where we went to visit my mommy's friend Miss Leslie and her family.  While we were there I went to the zoo for the first time!  It was sooo much fun!  We had a great weekend and I really liked playing with Maddie, Mason, and Morgan.  I also took my first bath in the big bath tub :)

8 months old!!

Last Tuesday I turned a whole 8 months old!!  I can't believe how quickly I am growing!  Well, actually that is what mommy and daddy say :)  I was in NY visiting my grandparents during my 8 month birthday.  Mommy, Abby, and I had lots of fun in NY visiting family and my mommy made a quilt.  I played with my cousins a lot and got to be held a lot :) Some of mommy's friends even came to visit us one night.
At 8 months old I am saying "da" "ba" and a whole bunch of other one syllable sounds.  Once in a while I do say "da da" and my daddy gets very happy when I do that.  I am crawling the real way much better now and I pull myself up all the time.
Tomorrow we all leave for NC to visit my mommy's friend Leslie and her family.  We are looking forward to it very much and hope it is a little warmer!

Packing or Unpacking?

Today I helped mommy pack for our trip to NY.  Well, not really helping, I took all of my bibs out of my suitcase that mommy put in there!  We are leaving Monday morning and will be gone for a whole week.  Mommy and grandma are making a quilt to hang in our living room.  The other day I started walking frontwards in my walker and I am also pulling myself up all over the place!

Pots & Pans

Hi everybody!  I am 7 1/2 months old now and growing up sooooo quick!  I will be 8 months old next Tuesday.
Last night I helped mommy make dinner, it was lots of fun :)  I am pulling myself up now so mommy and daddy had to lower my crib mattress the other night.  I still army crawl all over the place and have taken about 7 steps with a regular crawl. 
Some new things I have learned lately:

 - I stick my tongue out and suck on it like I am licking my chops.  It is very funny!  I even do it on demand :)
 - I pull myself up
 - I am getting better at the regular crawl
 - I say my G's all the time and have even started with B's and D's
 - I can fake cry really well!  I close my eyes half way and make the crying sound, it is funny.
 - I throw fits in my highchair my throwing my body backwards.  Mommy and daddy don't like this one.
 - I am only taking my 3rd nap on occassions now.
